We are trying to get the garden ready but it is just too wet yet. We did manage to burn it off as much as we could last week. The rest was too green to burn. We will bag it up after it dries up some this week. Due to the rain we may be a week later in planting this year (we usually plant Memorial weekend). This has happened before and we are still able to get a great harvest.

I planted cabbage and spinach plants that were gave to me when we thinned the plants at the senior citizen garden. I can see they went through a shock but they are coming back now. I planted these by the shed where it's easier to get to.
I borrowed cilantro from my daughters spice cabinet. It's not something I use frequently so it was good not to buy a whole bottle to try a recipe.
I won tickets to see the Wild Kratts with grandson and granddaughter in Detroit. They loved it!
Menu: What was on the dinner table last week
Monday Lasagna, salad, and garlic bread (freezer meal)
Tuesday Homemade steak and onion sandwiches
Wednesday Pork chops, mashed potatoes, and corn
Thursday Chicken sandwiches
Friday Savory Chicken pockets, baked beans
Saturday Out to eat
Sunday Potluck dinner at church (we are so happy that our grandson is being baptized)
My goals for this week
Clean the furnace room
Plant the garden if it's dry enough. If not concentrate on the flowers.
