I received a dozen roses free for good neighbor day at our local florist.  I enjoyed them just a little while before I started giving them away.

In the garden, I canned 7 quarts and 8 pints of beans, helped dig up the potatoes (1 bushel), and hung up onions to dry this week.

I chopped up the rest of the ham and froze it for omelettes.  I also put some in the refrigerator for sandwiches.

A couple of little things that I don't always mention every week:

I made foaming hand soap. This saves a lot of money.

I cut my SOS pads in half that I bought last week.  I feel better about throwing the rusted ones away when I do.  This is both frugal and green.

I diluted my dish washing soap.

My menu plan for the week is here.

Goals:

I hope to be able to can more tomatoes and finally start making sauerkraut.

Have a good friends day!

What ways have you saved this past week?
