Here are the ways I've saved this past week:
We went to see our favorite light show at our local historical village. This is the one time of the year that they let you drive through the village for $5.00 a carload. So pretty!
I have so far made three Fleece tie Blankets for Christmas presents.
Lucky for me I have someone to hold down the blankets while I work!
Received a coupon in the mail from Hungry Howies for a free pizza and a digital coupon for a free donut from Meijer for my birthday this month. Yes, they both were delicious!
We are trying a different way to grocery shop this month (biweekly). It's a learning experience but I hope to save at least $60.00 a month trying it this way.
We bought hamburger for $1.99 a pound and restocked the freezer. I froze patties in hamburger Tupperware containers. I then cooked and froze hamburger in 1 pound packages for meals later on.
I made waffles and froze some for later breakfast meals.
I reused a couple of those big bags from the stores for garbage bags.
My goals for this week:
Make one more fleece tie blanket and then I'm through!
Continue fixing up the doll house for granddaughter. I need to make cushions for the seats in the library this week. So far I've made blankets, put down floors (samples from the hardware), crochet rugs, made a sheet set, and even found some pots and pans that were hidden in one of the dressers. This dollhouse was given to me by a sweet neighbor.
What are the way's you've saved this past week?
