It's turned out to be a beautiful day so far and we have plans to grill out after we watch the Memorial Day Parade. It always puts us in the right mind about who this day is for. The children learn to honor the military as they walk in the parade by standing up and clapping and they are told what so many of them have sacrificed for. Yet, at the same time it's a lot of fun for them. I hope you have a great day planned too!
Today we are grilling out hamburgers for the grandkids, steaks for us, and grilled chicken for dinners in the future. I will make a salad, baked potato in the microwave, they will have potato chips, and I'm thinking open up a can of baked beans. Easy!
Here is what I plan to put on the dinner table this week:
Monday Memorial Day- Steaks (see above)
Tuesday Grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, rest of the salad
Wednesday Chicken Salad Croissants, double stuffed sweet potatoes
Thursday Leftovers
Friday eat out (I've left this out a couple of times but we always seem to eat out once during the week)
Saturday Home made Pizza (low carb pizza crust recipe)
Sunday Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn (total cheat meal-LOL)
What's on your menu this week?
Be sure to

It is 97 degrees here so no grilling for us. Hubby said thank you! I have baby back ribs in the oven and we will have corn on the cob and watermelon.
Sounds yum!! I have leftover potato salad and boiled cabbage from a Sunday event. Tonight I barbecued pork chops in the oven to go with it. I pick up the grandgirls tomorrow. Then it'll probably be chicken nuggets pizza and hotdogs for a few days!
Potato salad sounds so good. Yep hot dogs and chicken nuggets are a grandkid necessity!
I can't imagine 97 degrees ...it's been so cool. Maybe we will see higher temps soon!! Your rib dinner sounds so good!
