Free Kindle Books for Today 3/23/19 plus Meatless Meals!

Free Kindle Books for today 3/23/20!  Make sure you check the price before you buy, Amazon prices can change frequently. If you don’t have a Kindle you can download your favorite Kindle Book on any tablet or smartphone with a free Kindle app.

Ok, some of you got some meat, I'm just sayin.  Now, to make it last longer try making some of your meals meatless.

We had cornbread (made with a Jiffy mix), augratin potatoes, coleslaw, and green beans for dinner yesterday.  It was filling and we never missed the meat.   We also have leftover sides for today's dinner!

I showed this picture on Vickie's Kitchen and Garden's Facebook page and there were some great ideas for meatless meals left in the comments.  What's your favorite meatless meal?

Or if  you want to, leave a comment and let  me  know how everything is  going  in your neck of the woods.

Yeah!  Amazon audible is free right now till school reopens.

That looks like a delicious meal! We have a freezer full of meat but like you I am trying to make it last. I have a whole chicken thawed to roast today and then make as many meals from this week as possible. For me, Monday is the hardest day of this quarantine because I get up and think that it is a new week and we should just be back to normal. But, it is a cold day with pouring rain and I am glad I can just stay home!

Oh man we have snow Lana..I can say it's actually pretty because I hope it's the last snow.
We are trying to use every bit of meat too.

Your meal looks delicious.
It's been 10 days since I was able to buy any meat so I'm trying to make what I have last as long as possible. I have a turkey breast in the freezer that I may save for Easter plus two birthdays in April. I need to save 3 eggs to make my daughter a birthday cake. I never thought I would be rationing food. :(
Hopefully things will get better but I'm afraid they will get worse before they get better. Crazy times.

this situation has us rethinking all of our food too and trying to make it last so we don't have to go try and find things. We need to stay away from the germs as much as we can. I'm glad your thinking Kathy about that birthday in April ..it will be here before we know it.

Nothing new here....just staying home, eating less & playing more.

That's all there is to do! It's great sometimes and boring other times. Stay well Jenny!

I've always had the habit of stretching food, probably comes from going without as a child. My favorite meatless is Cuban black beans and rice, which gets changed into burritos and then nachos and then soup... can you tell I make a lot of black beans when I do it.

I love those rolling dinners! Best thing ever and cuban black beans and rice sound delicious!
Thanks for the great idea!
