We went hiking and rock climbing in Grand Ledge, Michigan yesterday.  It was such a peaceful place and it was a great place to go to get some exercise and yet maintain social distance.   It was so pretty too!

I never knew about the ledges there until my daughter mentioned an blog post on Mrs. Weber's Neighborhood about them.  It's funny what you don't know about your own state.  A little bit of the rock climbing was just up the grand kids alley and they can't wait to go back.  We didn't see everything so we will be heading back again this summer sometime (I hope they invite me).

Just to let you know we went kayaking a couple of weeks ago and decided that wasn't a fun activity for us right now but it got us outside.

Please a comment and let me know how it's going in your neck of the woods.

It looks like a beautiful place to return to again and again. I'm with you on being out on the water paddling in the hot sun. No fun. We took our lunch to the lake park near us yesterday and watched a lot of much younger than us people launching kayaks and paddle boards. I would never even think of standing on a paddle board and paddling. I would surely end up in the water and not be able to get back on the board.

Oh, how neat, Vickie. The photos are so great, especially the one of the bridge.

Thanks Belinda, There was even another bridge beyond that one. Looked like a post card for sure.

We were so happy after that. Well tired but happy.
Have a great day Rhonda.

ha ha Lana, Our thoughts exactly. I guess we got the urge to go because everyone has a kayak around here in the back of their truck. I'm glad we rented. Might be more fun when the kids get bigger.
There is no way I could stand on a paddle board either. Shoot sometimes I have problems standing on the ground. How do they get back on that little board?

It looks like a great place to go. I never have enough time in the mountains.

I'm enjoying a day off today. My dil decided not to go into work today. She's basically working two jobs with her baking business & the weekend was very full with Father's Day orders. So I got to sleep in today & I'm just puttering around the house by myself! ....since my husband has a class to teach this week he's out of the house for at least the morning.

Don't think kayaking would be for me either

It is pretty hot in my neck of the woods, but I can get out in the mornings and it usually isn't too bad. Just get out with the chickens and gardening.

It was a fun day..could to get out.

I was trying to get out and make it look like I'm a gardener but I was chased out this morning by mosquitoes. I know what you mean about that heat. It was a cooler day yesterday thank goodness..today though, the heat is back on!

Sounds like a fun time. I don't like climbing due to my fear of heights. But, I do enjoy walking in the forest. :-)

Oh I bet it was so nice to have the day off and the morning to you self. We love them all but to be by yourself every once in awhile is so nice or at least I think so!
I'm so glad you DIL is having such success with her baking business. That's so great to hear.

As I get out climbing rocks is not as cool as it used to be. Although I had to climb some to look at them ha ha. They were really neat.
I love walking in the forest too!
