Menu Plan

I went back to our Menu plan for this week and so far it's going like clockwork.  Well except that the ribs lasted two days, we ate the tunafish yesterday, and we haven't had the hot dogs or soup yet.  Hot dogs and fries or chicken noodle soup.  It's a toss up but I think the hot dogs will win today because it will be near 80.

You know you just got to go with what's happening today in your world and if it's cold or hot.  I would have made the soup but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be appreciated today. Next week maybe..brr.

Math

I hate it and so does my grandson.  It's a struggle for both of us and sometimes it takes a ER call to his Mom.  Don't get me wrong the teacher is very good.  She explains things well..we both just space out.  The main thing I found is to be calm (both of us) and listen well to both the teacher and the questions.  The students will ask questions and answer yours at the same time.

(1 x 6) x 25 +(2 x 20) x 6=  Fifth grade math

Oh goodness I hated teaching math. We ended up hiring a tutor & I never looked back. Even if I could do the problems I was just too slow for my son & he'd get so frustrated.

I've never been able to keep a menu but at least I do use up leftovers most of the time & plan ahead enough to have regular meals.

Tonight is ground ribeye burgers....I found a pack on clearance. Ribeye is my husband's favorite cut of beef so I grabbed them. I've had them in the freezer for awhile & plan to cook that with home made potato chips for supper.

For help with your math troubles, check out the free site, Symbolab. It not only tells you the right answer, but how to get it : ) (you will have to change the times symbol to dots, so the machine doesn't think it's an algebraic "x") hope it helps you
: )

Also, this song helped my daughter a lot with this type of task https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jflJKmsAEc

A tutor sounds good so do homemade potato chips! Good ideas Jenny!

Ha I vaguely remembered enough math to help my kids with homework, but even then they used some math techniques that were new to me. I will be completely clueless if I ever have grandchildren needing help.
You are a good grandma!
We have had rain from Beta all day so soup sounds good to me.
Have a great weekend.

We are very dry here Kathy. I think we will get rain next week.
I'm glad it's Friday!

When I was helping one of my grandsons every afternoon/evening with his homework, I always kept the order of operations handy, so I wouldn't tell him wrong. Here's a good video that explains it really well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdFXImly2-I I think this guy has a follow-up video that adds in brackets, when you need that.
