I forgot to tell the husband my plan on a relaxing weekend.

I really didn't get as much done as I would like over the weekend..on the housework department or the relaxing department.  Husband walked in with some hamburger and steak he found on sale at Meijer.  I've been busy putting this up in the freezer.  Today I'm going to make some Coney Island Sauce for Hot dogs while the grandboy is working.  I'll make up enough for quite awhile.

Then in the middle of it all we decided we had better do something with apples we have and we froze them to use for fried apples.  I've never froze apples before but I just googled it and it was easy.

I think I need a do over.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Hope you get your do over. I need to make your coney island sauce. Did I ever tell you, we love your chili recipe?
Fried apples are one of my favorite things too. I used to freeze applesauce too, so fresh tasting, but I didn't get my bushel of apples this year

So glad you like the chili! I making 3 batches of the hot dog sauce and I'm going to freeze some.
Next year will be better for sure and you'll get your apples.

That Coney Island sauce sounds wonderful. Now if our Meijer ever has Koegel hot dogs again. And 3 cookbooks to add to my stash for something to look at when that "real" blizzard hits like I know it will. Ann

oh good ...the longer we wait for a blizzard the better. I imagine it will hit us and they won't even have it forecast.
