The grandchildren are going back to school more and they are so happy ...and tired! Like most of the schools around here the teachers and bus drivers have all had a chance to be vaccinated. So, we'll see how it goes. Hopefully it will be great and they can finish the year mostly in school. They are here one day a week for home school. It's a worry having them there at their regular school but we've got to give it a try.
I can't help but wonder how the boy is doing in school. He says he's doing good..umm. I do think I hovered a lot making sure he stuck with his work. Ok, maybe, I was a bit of a tyrant. I think I was but now I can go back to just being his grandma for awhile.
He loves that and I do too.

Glad you can go back to being the fun Grandma!
Homeschooling is hard work, but I know your grandkids learned a lot. I feel sorry for all those kids who didn't have parents or grandparents to help them with learning this past year. I'm sure many of them got behind on their schooling.
Here in Western PA your kids had to go back to school for 4 days and home for 1 or just do online. Both sets of parents decided to keep their kids at home. All teachers are to get the vaccine soon so who knows what will happen then.
I wonder how it will all work out. Hopefully everything will be better next year. I don't blame them for keeping them home.
Yes I gathered there were a few that didn't have anyone. What a tough time. Very upsetting for a lot of them.
How lucky they were/are to have you during this time. You sound like the best grandma!
I was a tyrant, also, when it came to my grandkids getting their homework done. However, I'm sure, your job has been much more comprehensive. I'm sure your grandson is probably ahead of some of the children, who had no one to see that they did their work.
Am so lucky to have them!
It's a fine line us grandmas have to tread on that a for sure Kay!
It's hard to be more than grandma.
My daughter-in-law had to leave work Monday & go the ER for stomach pains. They admitted her &removed her appendix so this has been a strange week. We kept our grandson Monday night then Tuesday our son took him to a cousin's house for the rest of the week.
My husband & I got the south side of our house painted today. We may not get anymore done until next weekend though because of rain.
It is hard to be a grandma. It's kind of like we are a parent again but we are much nicer (I hope).
So sorry to hear you DIL was sick Jenny. I'm glad she went in to the ER. So many things happening! Take it easy on the rainy days.
