Frugal Friday..The Deals Can Still be Found 2/18/22!

The deals are still out there and we have been able to stock up our pantry and freezer this week.  It's taken some planning but it was worth it.  I've bought deals at Walgreens (shampoo, toilet paper, valentine clearance), Meijers (flashfood) and VG's (flashfood and deals) this week.

I think this was my favorite deal of the week.

A total of 17 pounds of potatoes (they look like Yukon Gold) for just .50 through Flashfood!    You can read more about the Flashfood app here.

They have just started it with VG's (our local food store) where I was able to get a 10 1/2 oz. can of coffee for $2.00.   When we went there to pick it up we shopped their clearance items located inside the store plus we stocked up on their bacon that was buy one for $4.99 and get one free. My husband even found his hot tamales he has been looking for.  Just in time for more snow plowing today!

I showed this earlier in the week but I was able to buy these on valentine and toy clearance at Walgreens for 1/2 off.  I'm going to use them for Easter basket fillers.  I pretty sure that the grand boy will give his cup to the grand girl but he will love the suckers inside.

We made sure to plan our shopping so that I stopped at Walgreens after taking grand kids to school and the next day we just made one big loop to all the stores. Gas and time saved.

Used the roast for a classic roast dinner, beef stew, plus beef tips and noodles today.  It was a lot bigger than I thought but we are done with that!

***Just a heads up I was at Walmart and was able to find wide mouth canning lids.  If you need any this is about the same time last year that I found them.  So, it may be possible that your store as them.

****I sent emails to the winners of the DVD church people and the 3 month subscription to Pureflix.   Plus respond asap!  Thanks!

What a deal on bacon!!!!!! Never heard of Flashfood - but I see you said it was an app - which is probably why. I have a flip phone - so no apps here.
Have a great weekend.

We loved the bacon deal. We were ready not to eat bacon again then we found this deal. I think Flashfood is really the only app I do a lot. I have the McDonald's one but we rarely go and then remember to use it. Have a great weekend too Cheryl!

Great deal on the potatoes! I hope our nearby stores will do something like Flashfood soon. Our great deal was boneless pork loin for 1.49#. I will be cutting it into pork chops today and freezing in packs of two.

McD's has had some great deals on the app lately. Today you can get a free Crispy Chicken sandwich with a $1 purchase.

So do u order food on app and pay credit card pic up in store. Can you return something if you see its not what you want. There is a place in my area just not sure if process is safe just a little hesitant. Thank you Joyce B

Download the app and you will see a store near you. Press on it and they will show what is available and the price. Most pictures are very clear and you will know what you have. I buy fruits, vegetables, and meats. I have even bought cottage cheese. The buy dates are very close for some of it so you need to process it or use it immediately. I pay by credit card and then they tell you when you need to pick it up by. Go to the service desk of the store and you will see a flashfood cooler and tell them you have a order and your name. It was all handled by the Meijer and VG's workers.
I've only was refunded for a sandwich one time..I didn't realize I needed to pick it up that night. They were very nice that one time. Otherwise I haven't felt the need to return anything.
Use my code VICK36PZH for $5.00 off your purchase over $10 and try it out.
