Frugal Saturday 7/22/2023!

 '

We went to garage and estate sales yesterday.  I was just saying we needed some chairs to move around the garden as so we can rest as we work plus a place to relax in the evening and there it was.  This plastic lawn furniture was just what I was looking for ..$15.00.   It isn't perfect...next year we may paint it...or not.

Estate sales are the best place for me to find some of my cleaning supplies.  I found these almost completely full for $1.00 a piece.  The pledge is 17.7 oz and the scrubbing bubbles are 25 oz.

I won two tickets (husband is going) to see Donny Osmond from Redesigning Happiness.   He was my idol when I was younger.  It will be so much fun!  I had to download my email account, then download ticketmaster, and then download  google to save them on my phone.  I made myself do it though.  I am not too old...I am not too old.

We grilled out this week, hotdogs, hamburgers, and Rosemary Grilled Pork Chops (using herbs from the garden).  I love summer for grilling and easy dinners.

Although the clothesline is not perfect (it leans and I didn't have enough line)- I hung my first load of clothes on Thursday before it rained.  We will get it fixed perfect soon (I hope).

I fixed a screen this week-you can see how to do that here.

What ways have you saved this past week?

Good week!!!! Sounds like some great deals at the sales. I never see estate sales around here. They are good ways of finding deals for sure.
Have a lovely weekend

Cheryl, estate sales are great. You can look on estatesales.net and they have them listed there. Maybe there are some around you.

The chairs and bench are beautiful, Vickie. I just love estate and yard sales. Awesome find on the cleaning supplies, we pick those up when we see them too. What a great week for you. 😊

Belinda, Sometimes we don't see the cleaning supplies so these past few weeks we have been stocking up.
Have a great week too!

Vickie-nice going-you got a good deal.
And good job on downloading tickets! Love Donnie. I had to do the same thing for a Paul McCartney concert before covid-I brought paper copies of everything in case something happened with my phone! That's how it is now but I'm still nervous having tickets just on my phone. It's hard keeping up with this stuff.
Enjoy your weekend.

Nancy, I'm so far behind on this stuff I could almost be Amish! I have checked to make sure I knew what to do a lot. Have a good week!

I think it will be fun seeing him...not so sure about how husband will like him. He is so nice to put up with me though.

I went to a sale and bought several plastic chairs. I lacked $2 and traded a dozen homegrown eggs for the last $2 I needed. Yard sales/estate sales are the best for lawn furniture.

Practical, I never thought of trading eggs...perfect! I'm glad you got them!
