The excitement is building for Thanksgiving! Is it building at your house too? This time of year can be so happy and this one has been a good one for us. I was reminded this morning how other years have been hard at holiday time so I'm thankful that we are blessed with a good one this year. I pray that if you are in the midst of a tough year that God will give you peace and a strength to get through. I know he will.
Okay now listen we are going to cheat but try to keep it to a minimum on Thanksgiving. I haven't lost any weight in awhile -you see there were birthdays, Halloween, now Thanksgiving, and Christmas. My hope is not to gain and just sail through the holidays. So I'll need to muster all the self control I can.
Here is our menu for this week:
Monday Pork Chops and sweet potatoes
Tuesday Leftover pork chops and green beans
Wednesday Low carb pizza
Thursday Turkey dinner including dressing, shuck beans, dinner rolls, sweet potato casserole, and mashed potatoes! Desserts will be apple pie, pumpkin pie, and a pumpkin roll.
Friday Turkey sandwiches and leftovers (black Friday here we come)
Saturday Easy crock-pot chicken/turkey Noodle soup (with spaghetti squash noodles)
Sunday Stuffed green peppers and a salad
