We're picking cabbages in the garden so I'm working them into our sides for dinner this week. Although they are smaller then this one from a few years back, they are still delicious.
You know, on any given day you could come into my house at dinnertime and find that we are not having what's on the menu plan for that day. Here at our house, it's subject to change at a moment's notice. When we are too busy or too tired I pick the easiest dinner and go with that.
Just last night I told my husband we were having Tuesday's dinner but today I decided I had better take it easy and make sanwiches. I haven't told him yet but he seems happy no matter what. He just wants to eat.
here is what I plan to put on the table this week:
Monday Ham Sandwiches and coleslaw
Tuesday. Ham and cheese omelettes with fried apples
Wednesday. Pork chops, fried cabbage, and baked beans
Thursday. Spaghetti
Friday. Leftovers
Saturday. Out to eat
Sunday. Baked Chicken and a salad
What's on your table this week?
Be sure to

We end up shuffling the menus, too. I saw a blog post about menus recently where the blogger lists her menus 1-7 starting with the easiest and working up to the hardest. I think that is a great idea but I do mine on a calendar so I have not made the switch yet. The blogger did say that it is a bad week when she has used all the easy menus up by Wednesday!
I think most husband's don't care what's for supper as long as they get fed. :)
That's the phrase I was looking for!
So funny! I saw one that did a monthly menu but So many things come on sale or ripen in the garden at different times I just can't do that. Sounded easy for them.
Your meal plans always make me want to visit you and share a meal. :-) Have a blessed week!
Your welcome any time Melissa!
Hi Vickie! I'm new here and looking forward to browsing though your posts. BTW, your menu looks yummy.
Hi Tori! Thanks for coming by and I hope you love it here.
Okay I just had that menu LOL... My daughter used to do a monthly menu with the last week with no meat. Said it surprised her when she started letting the kids pick what was for the next night, 9 times out of 10 it was vegetarian . I can't stay with any menu...
That's so funny. Surprised me about the kids wanting vegetarian! I do probably need to do more meatless meals. So far this week (two days) I've stuck to the menu plan. I'm on a roll! LOL
