How to Save Money
These resources are ones that I use all the time and come back to again and again.
Books I love in my Kitchen:
Better Homes and Gardens: New Cook Book, 16th Edition- Basic recipes you will love making.
Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving -I buy one of these every couple of years. I make sure I keep the old one in case a recipe is no longer included.
Kitchen Tools I couldn't do without:
KitchenAid KSM75WH Classic Plus Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer, White- I bought this when I used to make a lot of cakes. Now I still use it for cakes but also for kneading dough for bread and pizza.
Lodge L8SK3 Pre-Seasoned Cast-Iron Skillet, 10.25-inch =Nothing cooks like cast iron. They last forever! Somehow the food taste better in a cast iron skillet.
Cuisinart CTG-00-SMB Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls with Lids, Set of 3- These stainless steel bowls are perfect. No stains and seem to look good forever!
Helpful tools to have in the Garden:
Texas Basket Co. Natural Round 1/2 Bushel Basket- You need something to haul all the produce out of the garden. Buy a couple you will need them.
Suncast BMS1500 Vertical Utility Shed- No more garden tools in the garage I was told. This vertical shed helped me out!
Troy-Bilt Horse Tiller 14.5 TP Briggs Engine #21A-682P766- Husband cannot say enough about this machine. We love to use it to till the garden in the spring and sometimes in the Fall.
Mantis® Tiller (2 Cycle Gas #7920) - Ultra-Lightweight - Compact/Powerful/Commercial Quality, for Greenhouse-quality soil- This is great for when I know I'm licked. The weeds are crazy and I need just a little help.
Ways to earn and save money
Swagbucks (great way to earn points for gift cards)
The Complete Tightwad Gazette: Promoting Thrift as a Viable Alternative Lifestyle- The first book I read on frugality. After reading this I realized I could save a lot of money by doing the a lot of little things. Highly recommend!
