My Frugal Ways this Past week,What Was On the Dinner Table and My Goals for the Week 9/11/16

We went to Christmas tree shop (our favorite place to get k-cups) with a coupon for $10 off 50.  We found seed packets marked down and they ended up costing us less than  12 to 15 cents a packet.  A great start for next year.  

Redeemed my Swagbucks for a $5.00 Amazon gift card.

Detailed the car for an estimated savings of $80.00 if I paid someone to do it!   Sometimes those thoughts (of having someone else do it) really run through my head!  

Froze green peppers from garden

I put extra chicken on the grill Labor day.  I grilled enough chicken for two freezer meals (all of them not shown).  I also made pancakes and rolls to freeze.

We found a slide and a coupe for the grand daughter alongside the road!  

Cut my own bangs.

I made a fleece tie blanket. I bought brand new material at a garage sale for $1.00.   It was already cut to size so I just cut and tied it.   My first Christmas present I made this year!  


Menu:  What was on the table last week:


Monday          Hot dogs

Tuesday          Hamburgers and chicken

Wednesday      out to eat

Thursday         Pork stir fry 

Friday              Beef Stew   (just substituted stew meat for hamburger)

Saturday         Leftover stew

Sunday           Stuffed Peppers



My Goals for this week:

In the Home:

Make some more freezer meals. 

Have the garage sale (I have been fall cleaning).

Can mustard greens (they were not ready last week and neither were we)!

Clean the refrigerator.

Family:

School started last week and I think it has all caught us with us.  We seem all exhausted.  So no big plans till we get our used to the schedule again.  Just have a restful week at home!
