We went to a science museum yesterday on their free day. This was a cost savings of $35.00 for admission. They had a place just for the young children to play and learn so both grandchildren loved it. We also took our lunches.
I won a box of potato skins and a free candy bar on Kroger's March to Savings game.
Cheap newspaper subscription: I paid for a two month subscription to our local paper at a booth at Kroger. I paid $19.00 and she gave me $15 in Kroger gift cards!
I ordered from the Kroger Checklist for the first time today. Because it's my first order it's free to try.
I was able to stop at a CVS this week on the way to an appointment. We don't have one close by so I make sure to have my coupons and list when we go this way. I was able to buy 6- 2 liter bottles of Vernors and two Scope Mouthwashes (I big, 1 small) for a total of $9.00 with my coupons and ecbs. Great deal.
Menu: What was on the dinner table last week: (it was a lazy sort of week for cooking but now I'm feeling like I have more energy. Sometimes I think I just need a break. I'm just been putting off going to the garage for the Hamburger for the stew this morning. It's 18 degrees this morning).
Monday Out to eat
Tuesday Ham and cheese omelettes
Wednesday Hot dogs and chili
Thursday Sandwiches and soup
Friday Bean burritos (homemade freezer meal)
Saturday Leftovers - I took two bean burritos for my lunch at the museum.
Sunday Hamburger Stew
My Goals for Next Week:
Clean and organize the front and quilt closet (only got 1/2 done last week).
Finish the embroidery on my two pillows that I'm making for our bed.
Make more healthy and delicious meals.
What ways have you saved this past Week?
