Here are the ways I've saved this past week (it's a total of two weeks this  time):

My friend gave me a peach tree!  It may be awhile before  we see a harvest but it's a great addition to my little backyard orchard!   I'm very excited!

Meijer shopping:   Meijer has been so good lately with their coupons.   When my husband checked out last week he received two coupons.  One was for $3.00 off Frozen food and one was for $3.00 off Produce.     So I was able to get all this for $6.52!

3 pounds of bananas   $1.59
Sparklers    $4.00
carrots   $1.39
onions $1.99
Bread dough $4.59
Almond Milk $2.19
coupons:
Mperks offer $3.00 off
Frozen Food coupon $3.00 off
Produce coupon $3.00 off
Almond Milk $.40 off
Total spent $6.52 Plus a coupon when I checked out for free Halo Top ice cream (worth $5.00).  I put my groceries in the car and went back inside real fast!

My first harvest (sorry about the bad lighting).  I harvested two green onions and a zucchini.

I sold another item on a facebook selling group. I list things on both craigslist and facebook.  I have one more thing to sell and then I'm done!

I went to the 1/2 clothing day at Salvation Army,  I found the some jeans and a top for me, and some clothes for the grand kids, I also found what I think is a wooden wall mounted dryer rack for $5.00 (at least this is what I'm going to use it for).  When I went to the check out everyone was guessing what they thought it could be. Do you know?

What was on the Dinner Table this Past Week:

Monday       Grilled out for the 4th

Tuesday       Leftover grilling out

Wednesday  Spaghetti (used the last of the hamburger from grilling out)

Thursday      BBQ chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob

Friday          Birthday dinner

Saturday      Stew (made with beef)

Sunday        Coleslaw, snap peas, green onions (from my garden), wilted lettuce, and cornbread.  This may be a meatless meal.

My Goals for This Week:

At Home

Work in the garden (keep killing weeds).

Read more books to the grandchildren while they are here.

On the blog

Put up another giveaway!  I'll be on a book tour this Thursday for Charlotte Hubbards new book, Weddings at Promise Lodge.   I have some more great giveaways coming up in the next few weeks. So exciting!
