My Frugal Ways this Past Week 9/8/19!
We went for a drive and noticed it was trash day in the neighborhood we found some good stuff before. This Crockpot Instant pot was setting beside the trash. Husband saw it and backed up and put it in the truck, before I even knew what happened. Works perfect, no scratches, no dents, and very clean (washed when I got home of course). I don't think she or he ever used it. The book and plug was inside. Can you believe that?
We also found a seed spreader for the lawn that goes on back of a tractor (listen we can't believe this either- not sure if it's as much as the one on Amazon but goodness they are expensive) and some other small stuff.
He sold an item we picked from the trash for $60.00 this past week.
I think we just might become trash pickers.
We picked a peck of green beans out of the garden. There are more almost ready on the vine. If the good weather holds out we will be able to get more end of this week.
I also picked 1 cup of black berries, tomatoes, potatoes, and one last zucchini.
We went on a cheap date to the auto show in Frankenmuth this past weekend. We had a lot of fun and walked ourselves to death! I think this years show was bigger than any I have ever been to.
We stopped on the way home from Frankenmuth and I found my grocery deal of the week. A unbelievable price for Corn! I'll be freezing some of it later today. I use this method to freeze but I'll be cutting back on the sugar.
We had a bonfire with the grandchildren last night and they spent the night. They have more fun sitting around the fire and making smores sometimes than anything else. Simple and easy!
Freeze all that corn and pick more beans from our garden.
