The Flood!
The sun is shinning today but let me tell you, we had  a lot of rain the last few days.  Our area was basically saved with only about 2 to 3 inches of rain but up north of us they had as much as 8 to 9 inches of rain.  Two dams have broken and people have had to evacuate.  I have heard of flooded homes but no causalities so far.  Thank God.  So, they now have two emergencies, flooding and the virus.  It's been some kind of year!

Our garden!

I wouldn't be surprised if the potatoes haven't rotted in the ground.  The cabbages, lettuce, and onions are all doing great. You just take a chance when you plant early or even sometimes late.  There is a positive side to this, we now will build two raised beds next Spring.  There is nothing like life experiences to help me to do some convincing.

Thankful there are no casualties. Scary about the dam breaks. We are having a lot of rain with river flooding in VA.
Pretty kitty with the flowers.
Hope you have a good day.

Kathy I just watched how far down south the rain went. Sorry to hear of your area flooding too. Have a great day.

It is raining nonstop here now since Monday morning. Our yard is full of water, rivers are out of their banks, the interstate is flooded and there is fear of mudslides north of us in the NC mountains. This is crazy!

Oh my goodness Lana, it sure is crazy! I hope it stops soon for you.

So glad you're all ok. I cannot imagine losing my home in this craziness. Normal things are hard enough without trying to completely rebuild or relocate.

I am now seeing the news reports on the dams in your area. It's horrible.

I've seen a roof going downstream on the news. I can't imagine what they must be going through.

I can't imagine how these people must feel.
