I have been busy this week getting ready for grandmas school. Here is the area I picked before:
Books and toys were donated, blankets went into the guest room, and that box of tools that was gathering dust was taken to the garage.
Here is the area after.
We already had the "desks." I covered one of the desks with contact paper. I bought the posters on Amazon and a battery operated pencil sharpener at staples. A pencil sharpener was one of the things that we were always looking for last year.
They are excited for school to start. I'm sad for them that it has to start out this way but the school district has now went all virtual. So, it the end it wasn't the parents decision whether or not they went to live school.

Your school looks great! I'm glad they are looking forward to school. You will make learning fun!
Thanks for the books. I thought the concrete crafts sounded interesting, but not sure dh will agree since he usually ends up helping me on my projects. ;)
With the covid going through the schools in GA that started up... I don't want my grandkids or great grandson in the schools. Better safe than sorry especially as granddaughter said putting the WHOLE FAMILY on quarantine meaning parents miss work as you are required to quarantine where you live.
Your school looks great! I'm happy for you and your grandkids that you are able to teach them and know that you will enjoy the time together. Thanks for the books. I figure I can always use new suggestions for hamburger meals and have become kind of hooked on Jean Kuhnke's stories. I already have the Bluebird one. I had the opportunity to study about the I&M canals in Illinois several years ago as part of a teacher workshop so that brings back fond memories. Have a good day and weekend! Elaine from Arizona
I hope everything will be good. I got the concrete crafts book too!
It's just not worth it but some of the schools in this county are going back full blast with masks. I don't think that could possibly go well.
That looks great! I bet the kids are excited to get started now!
I'm hooked on Jean Kuhnke stories as well and I could read the Bluebird one again. What fun study that just have been at the teacher workshop.
You have a good weekend as well Elaine.
They seem happy but I'm a bit nervous. I have to figure out all the computers for them. Scary for sure
Thanks's Vickie for the good books I took them all.
Yeah! Have a great time reading this weekend!
It looks so nice! I love the maps & the kids will have such memories of grandma's school. I hope it all goes well with you.
I went to two small yard sales in my little town today....i just had to get out & I did wear my mask. The first sale I bought a never used, in the box dehydrator with two extra trays for $4! I've been wanting one & can't wait to try it out. The second sale I found a large bin of canning jars for $1! I had picked up two quart jars each marked .50. The lady told me she had a whole bin but that some of them were broken. She didn't want to clean it out & said if I took the whole bin I could have it for $1..Boy howdy, yes ma'am. I've been looking for jars. It took me 10 minutes to sort out the broken ones. I ended up with 15 quart jars, 15 1/2 pint jars & a handful of other sizes.
Oh wow Jenny did you find some trasures!
Those jars alone are worth gold! I'm using my dehydrator now and I love it. I know you will love using one too!
I bet she doesn't know how much jars are going for now.
