Jenny left a comment yesterday letting me know she got a great deal on a big box of canning jars for a $1.00 at a garage sale.   Oh man what a deal! If you can find new canning jars right now your doing good and if you can pay for them your even better.  The lids I'm hearing are real hard to find too.

Every one is worried about the food supply right now and they are gardening like crazy then canning their harvest.

Yesterday we found a bike at a garage sale for the youngest grandchild for $3.00.  It has no kick stand but it leans really well.  We grabbed it up fast!  Let me tell you there are no bikes in Walmart.  Not a single one!

If you happen to see this stuff at a garage sale/thrift shop and you can use it, grab the deals while you can!

  1. I ordered my canning lids back in March through Lehman's and it took them until June to get the order filled. Filmore container wasn't even accepting new orders. I ordered tattler lids and am going to learn how to use them just to help get through

  2. Well, my son was tested for covid yesterday. He & his family are under quarantine while we wait for the results. He doesn't think it's covid but he does feel pretty sick...no fever & he can taste his food. But it's going around his workplace & he has 3 employees over 60 who work under him. He would be devastated to spread covid to them.

I'm choosing not to worry as much as I can & plan to paint my little bathroom while I have two weeks with no baby sitting.

    1. No bikes here at our Walmart. Might have them at other stores though. Good to keep them up that's for sure. Everything was made in China Kathy!

  4. Wow! Great find on the bike! Yesterday I looked on walmart.com for pint jars and was shocked that they had them and only 8.98 a dozen so I quick ordered 4 dozen and they will arrive on Monday. The few lids we have found are $4 plus a dozen so getting the new jars and lids too is really a bonus as far as I am concerned. We need a new garbage can and I am wondering if we will find one when we go to look. I told Hubby to patch it with duct tape until we get one. Hubby needed new underwear and it took me weeks to find what he likes and get restocked. Everything is just wrong right now!

  5. I noticed at our Walmart that they have no bikes as well. I'm noticing a lot of various shortages from items obviously made in China. Just goes to show how we need more manufacturing brought back to the US.
