I bought Strawberries on sale on Sunday and made some strawberry jam yesterday. Just as I finished putting them on the counter to cool the sun peaked through the kitchen window. We don't see the sun as often as I like here in Michigan but the last few days have been wonderful. I'm soaking it up the sun as much as I can because we are bracing for 7 to 10 inches of snow maybe more by Thursday. We will see how much we get I guess when it comes.
Back to the strawberries, I paid a $1.67 a quart. I heard just 60 miles from us that some Meijer's had them for .99 a quart but I'll have to make do with the sale we have here. I'm just glad we got them and for a pretty good price! Thanks Plant City, Florida!
Menu for this week:
Monday Leftover Lasagna and salad
Tuesday BLT's
Wednesday Snowstorm menu -we are having shuck beans, corn bread, and Pork chops. I'm going to try make the pork chops like the recipe I saw last night on The Townsends.
Thursday Leftovers
Friday Smoked sausage, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes
Saturday Baked chicken, green beans, and a salad
Sunday Chicken salad sandwiches
Breakfasts: Fried Bologna/ham/egg sandwiches, oatmeal, eggs, and waffles.

I do hope that goes together! It sounded good. LOL
Strawberries from Plant City, Florida are so good this time of year. Your strawberry jelly looks beautiful.
So glad we can get them! Makes you forget there is a big snow coming!
