I was out in the garden yesterday and managed to pick enough green beans to fill the dehydrator. I picked rattlesnake, greasy beans, and white half runner beans. I turned off the dehydrator last night and filled up my pickle jar this morning. My pickle jar is almost full for winter Shuck Beans! You can read How I dry my green beans here.
I watched The Purposeful Pantry On Youtube last night, while she explained how to dehydrate zucchini and make zucchini flour. Out to the garden I went this morning (as soon as I could see in the fog) and came up with 2 medium sized zucchini. I shredded these up and put it on trays to dry (3). So the dehydrator humm is back on this morning.
I have enough ripe tomatoes again to can this morning. I think it will be 3 more jars this morning. Every little bit counts.
Have you canned or dried this season?

We have canned quite a bit this summer but only six jars of green beans from our efforts. The rest has been dry beans and soups and produce that needed to get saved that was grocery store purchases.
Good job. Zucchini flower is pretty neat and useful.
Lana, with the drought is has been a struggle in the garden here this year. I hope the weather will be better next year for both of us. Beans ate so important ...its sad when they don't make it.
Cheryl, it will be good to try it out this year.
