Book Review: My Own Mr. Darcy

My Own Mr. Darcy

My Own Mr. Darcy by Karey White

While watching Pride and Prejudice with her Mom and her best friend, Elizabeth fell in love with the character Mr. Darcy at sixteen.   When Mr. Darcy came on the screen she instantly knew that she would only have a Mr. Darcy as her future husband.

Present day:  Elizabeth has now graduated college and lives with her best friend, Janessa.   After growing tired of  Elizabeth rejecting all her suitors because they didn't fit the Mr. Darcy mold, Janessa challenges Elizabeth to date the next guy who asks her out ten times before she dumps him,.   Chad, when he meets her in the grocery store aisle and asks her for lunch, fits that bill.

Chad, who is kind and fun, has begun to chip away at Elizabeth's armor.  Then, the plot thickens as Elizabeth finally meets her Mr. Darcy, Matt.   Matt has the same great looks like Mr. Darcy but he is a hard to get to know.   Will her dream of marrying a Mr. Darcy become a reality?

My thoughts:

My Own Mr. Darcy is a sweet, wonderful, and clean romance story.  I was drawn in to the story immediately and could not stop reading every word.  A great read about dreams coming true, social standing, and finding the love that's right for you.

Sometimes it's great to get lost in a good romance book.

I was given this book for free in exchange for my honest review.
