I just couldn't look at the newly tilled garden any longer without planting something. I decided to plant some radishes, beets, and leaf lettuce.
If you ever have scattered those small seeds like lettuce or mustard by hand like I have, the end outcome is not good. I end up with lettuce growing all bunched together.
So my solution has been to save the jars the spices come in. They have those handy little holes on the top. Put the seeds in the jars and mix in some dirt.
Then shake over the space you would like your lettuce to grow and they will grow more evenly spaced.
This makes me look more like a professional gardener which of course I'm not. I just love to garden!
How is your garden coming along?
