This morning I was thinking where did the week go? Then I realized I spent my days this week canning. I've canned cabbage, salsa, and I'm canning sauerkraut this afternoon. I've went canning crazy!
There was no other choice everything came in at once. The garden has truly blessed us this year!
At the same time though I can feel Summer slipping away with feel of Fall in the air this morning. We will make time for fun that's for sure this next week ...before it's too late!
Now on to what was on the menu last week:
Our menu changes frequently in my home with use of leftovers, garden produce, or special occasions that come up. With that in mind I have decided to tell you what we have had this past week instead of what I have planned ahead.
Sunday All the family was together after church so $20 worth of Chinese take out food was in order
Monday BLT (fresh tomatoes)
Tuesday Grilled Hamburgers with bacon (leftover from Monday's BLT's)
Wednesday Grilled Chicken, sliced tomatoes, corn, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
Thursday Cheesy Chicken Casserole (made with leftover grilled chicken)
Friday Leftover pizza bought by youngest daughter Thursday night
