The moon was half gone when I took this picture! |
I enjoyed watching the eclipse last night but I gave up on taking pictures. You would think that I wouldn't have a problem with a clear sky. Every picture I took though looks just like a full moon! Probably need a better camera to capture it.
I stayed up long enough to see the moon covered up and then decided it was my bedtime!
It was so much fun going to the grandson's 6 birthday party! He told his Mom the next day, "Mom I'm six now your treating me like I'm 5."
Yes, the mustard greens were one of my favorite things last week. We had enough to pick for dinner but I was glad in a way they had slowed down their growth. I needed a break from canning! Now, I'm ready and I'm praying for a good rain to make them grow more. Don't you feel sorry for God listening to people like me. I imagine him saying what does she want now...a break then a rain!
What I managed to get done last week:
Write another guest post- working on this now!
Continue to harvest Mustard Greens and can them towards the later part of the week. I canned 7 quarts (2 bushels) and would like to can another 7 this week.
Make up spice mixes that are getting low. Cooler weather has brought my cooking indoors. I need to make up chili seasoning next week.
Read the Bible more. I've been concentrating on memorizing bible verses. I totally blew this last week.
Here is what I hope to accomplish this week:
Office Work
Write a book review.
Write another guest post- working on this now! I'm pretty much done and need to let my smart daughter Eva proofread it. She always talks about my run on sentences!

Kitchen and Garden Work:
Continue to harvest Mustard Greens and can them towards the later part of the week. I canned 7 quarts (2 bushels) and would like to can another 7 this week. Without a good rain the mustard greens did not grow as well. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow so hopefully they will be bigger later this week.

Clean the refrigerator before I shop this week!
Personal Goals
Exercise in some form -yoga or walking as much as possible. I walked the beautiful grand baby in her stroller every day I had her. I'm not going to set a number I think just make sure I exercise as much as my schedule will allow.
Earn at least 15 Swagbucks a day. Since I've been doing this I've earned three $5.00 gift cards! Many times I just earn this by searching.
On back on my diet plan (Trim Healthy Mama). I'm working on this every day. I'm not perfect but I keep trying! and trying!
Read the Bible more. I've been concentrating on memorizing bible verses.
What are your goals for this week?
