Garden Update 6/15/16-The Beautiful Blooms of the Vegetable Garden

I wanted you to see some of the first blooms of my vegetable garden.   Beautiful and exciting at the same time!  So walk along with me as I take you through the garden:

Cucumbers!   Wonderful cukes are starting to come on!

Scapes on the garlic-  The round twisting parts are called scapes. The theory is if you pull them off then you garlic will grow bigger. I deceided to pull them off and not take chances.  This is my first year growing garlic. You are never too old to learn!

Zucchini blooms....I know, I know, later on I will think...  oh no more zucchini blooms!   Right now though I'm excited!

Tommy Toes or Cherry tomatoes, what ever you want to call them we have them blooming in our garden.  I can't wait for wonderful salads!

Rain news:   It's been a long time since we have had a good soaker but I have a feeling we will be blessed with rain today!

How is your garden growing?
