My thoughts:
I received a copy of the boy's devotional Every day with God: 365 Daily Devos for Boys and gave it to my grandson. The book cover is Veggie tales and each page has a fun veggie tale character.
Each devotional starts out with a verse and then explains it in simple terms that the child can relate to in the next paragraph. Then comes a positive thought of the day and prayer. I like the length of the devotions so the children will not get bored and want to quit reading.
I can just imagine that each devotion could be a great conversation starter as the child connects to something that has happened like that in his or her life. I think this devotional will bring a boy or girl closer to both God and family.
The back of the book contains memory verses that Mom or Dad can help the child with. The explanations of the verses will be left up to the parents.
I'm very impressed with this book and I think it's one that will be used frequently.
