My Frugal Ways this Past Week 12/11/16!

Let me introduce you to our new cat, Smoky!   He is an adorable cat and we love him!  He is 6 months old and a lap cat.  Whoever happens to be sitting down get's blessed by a cat wanting to be petted.  We paid $50 for him at the pound but we will get that back as soon as we get him neutered.

We stopped by the Habitat for Humanity restore and they were giving tomatoes to everyone for free.

I used my $10 off 10 JC Penny coupon.

I have been walking around my house in the mornings then recording the minutes at the Walgreen's Balance Rewards program. They give you points for a weigh in, exercise, for your healthy goals, etc.  When you reach 5,000 points you receive $5.00 to use in Walgreen's.

We decided to make a quick trip to Kentucky to see his family. We left on Thursday and came back last night (Saturday). We came right back instead of going to my favorite Flea Market in order to beat the big snowfall that was predicted. I have to admit I was so disappointed that we didn't get to shop, but I realized it was for the best.   I guess I saved money too!

We made sure to take our out to eat coupons.  We fueled up with gas at Kroger for 20 cents off with my fuel points.  I also made sure to put my sourdough bread in the freezer and my tomatoes in the refrigerator.

We picked up a coupon for the hotel at a rest area as we entered Kentucky.  We ate the breakfast that was included at the hotel and ate dinner out.  We made sandwiches for late night snacks.

We only went shopping one time before we left and spent just $30.11.

What was on the menu last week:

Monday         Out to eat

Tuesday         Hot dogs and chili

Wednesday    BLT's and  Hash browns

Thursday       Out to eat  (out of town)

Friday            Out to eat

Saturday        Out to eat

Sunday          Pizza (freezer meal)

My goals for next week:

In and around the Home:

Wrap some more presents.  I'm very slow at wrapping but I'm getting it done.

Keep working on a afghan I'm making for a present.  I think this may be a present for next year at the rate I'm going.

Go for walks.

Make holiday treats.

Help clean youngest daughter's room.

What ways have you saved this past Week?
