My Menu Plan for this Week 7/29/19!

We been going fishing when we have time and we have caught some catfish and a crappie. Listen after you filet these fish there is not much left but he did and then froze them.  We figured with a little more we could have a fish fry.  We skipped fishing last week just to get caught up with things around the house but we plan on fishing again this week (storms predicted today).   Hope we are blessed with more!

We never did make the lasagna last week so that is still on the menu for later this week when we have a cool down:

Monday            Steak and a tomato salad

Tuesday            Steak fajitas

Wednesday       Hamburgers and  Baked Beans

Thursday          Out to eat

Friday               Lasagna

Saturday           Leftover Lasagna

Sunday             Fried Fish and Fries  (I think we will have enough fish to fry by then)

What's on your menu this week?

We have fish pretty regularly around here, as hubby is an avid fisherman. I checked to make sure we had some in the freezer today, as I think I want some this week, too. Good luck on catching a few more this week!

My husband had been asking me to try one of my fish recipes using catfish...his favorite kind of fish. So I bought some at Walmart, $13.49 for a 2 pound bag! I told him he needs to go fishing if he wants to eat it very often.(& we live on a lake!) I usually cook tilapia which is just under $6 for a two pound bag at Aldi. The catfish is definitely better.

Catfish is good...I've never really looked at the price at the supermarket before. I'll have to tell husband how much money we are saving while having fun too! I had to laugh about the living on a lake part Jenny!

I hope the fish are biting when you go fishing again and that you catch a bunch. :)
