I made some mistakes
I think the tip must be automatically figured in..that's all I can figure. I would have left a tip but not quite that much. If I do this again I'll watch more carefully.
Was it worth it? Yes for us at this time because we now have apples, bananas, and fresh veggies, deli lunch meat, and other things we needed and wanted. The gobbler's sticks are not a great deal though- you don't receive many for the price but they are good tasting. I ordered 6 tomatoes! How did I do that? Good thing they are in various stages of ripening!
Overall we are happy but man groceries are high!

Hi, thanks for the books. We don't have that type grocery delivery in my neck of the woods so I'm not familiar with it, but I do think its pricey. But aren't groceries pricey lately anyway lately? Tips are usually in the 20% range and that is the right amount for that. Maybe that was their only income from this delivery? There are some restaurant drive thru's that have dine in also that do charge a tip for drive thru same as if you ate inside. Hope you have a wonderful day! Patricia b
Your right Patricia it's probably how they paid their workers for bringing it to the car. Never thought of that.
It was worth it in the end.
it is a great feeling to be restocked. Instacart adds a huge tip and processing fee to orders that I do online for my Mom. It adds almost $20 to her order.
We learned yesterday that a local chicken processing plant is selling there extras for $20 to $40 for a 40 pound box depending on what you get. Breasts and tenders are $1 a pound! We are considering if we can deal with that much since it is such a great price.
Looks like yummy and fresh foods. A little pricey but worth it to keep you all healthy. Enjoy and have a good weekend.
Wow...your farmer's market must be huge! We can only get in season, locally grown produce so there won't be much of this for quite a while yet. That is awesome.
The only garden foods we can get at the moment are mixed salad greens (no head lettuce of any kind)...I'm not sure if I've ever seen head lettuce at our market at all. A few cool season crops like radishes, green onions, ect. We can get eggs...they're about three times the price of the grocery store, local meat (beef, pork, chicken, ect)...I think it's all raw meats & lots & lots of baked goods.
We can also get a few plants right now & a lot of fresh cut flowers. I would be doing this more if I had that much variety. I'm mainly shopping mine for garden plants but the choices are so narrow I'm thinking about braving a garden center in the next week or so....ours are open. If I do I'll go at an off time when everyone is at work.
Kathy you know that's the way I'm thinking too.
Oh man I would be finding room somewhere for some 🐔!!
It's good to know these things about the tips. I'm getting educated!
The chicken is from an organic farmer and the apples are from the orchard (they have been in storage). The rest is shipped in from other warmer markets. It's big. I'm So proud its so close.
No plants yet ..not allowed and its snowing today! You are lucky you can buy them!
I hope that we can buy plants in a couple of weeka.
I think high and higher grocery prices are here to stay. And I also think if it’s something you want and it’s available, better get it then.
You said just what my husband said Rhonda!
InstaCart used to have a much lower tip scale and you could even choose "no tip", but I saw a couple of weeks ago that the employees were demanding a better/different tip schedule, so that must be the result. I personally think that is too high, but I have no idea how much they are getting paid. Yes, I agree, everything is higher, especially since I'm getting Walmart Unlimited delivery and can't shop at my regular grocery store, because I'd have to go in and shop myself. They aren't having many specials in my area due to not being able to guarantee availability. It looks like you got some very nice groceries. I'm going to put in an order today or tomorrow. I love having the delivery so far. I've gotten it twice.
Same here there are a lot of things not available so it's great that they have delivery. It's just so nice that we have this technology now. it would have been hard to manage without delivery and pickup. They are worth giving a tip to for sure.
Ours charges a flat fee of $10 PLUS mileage over a certain amount of miles. The tip you paid is 20% ...what you would pay a server in a sit down restuarant though servers here only earn $4.80/ hr base wage.
