A little sewing:
Yesterday, the granddaughter dug deep into the toy box and found some little dolls that we had bought at a garage sale last summer. She found two small cabbage patch dolls and they were naked. So. after she left I made a little night gown for one and she took the other little doll home. I imagine I'll be into sewing some doll clothes now. It will keep me busy!
It's always a discussion at night, should we pick up the toys or leave them because she'll be back tomorrow? We tend to pick up the ones that will kill us and push the other ones to the side. On the weekend they are all picked up and the carpet is vacuumed thoroughly.
How we keep them busy!
Oldest grandson does his school work on his Chromebook when he comes. I sit next to him and praise him when he does right. Youngest is on ABC Mouse and she loves it. Pop helps her when she becomes frustrated.
After grandmas school if the weather is good grandson helps Pop with car repairs, they both garden, or they just play on the backyard swing set. Time goes fast.
I take a nap when they leave.

I do love your posts. Thanks for the laugh. "I take a nap when they leave."
What a cute doll and night gown.
Have a relaxing weekend.
Kathy they just left and I'm in the bed! Ha ha
I have the same dilemma about picking up toys. Goodness though I get so tired of looking at them. I do the same thing you do most of the time. They all get completely put away on Fridays. Most Fridays my grandson is gone by 10Am (we get him at 5AM) then I try to clean everything up for two days. We've had him almost every day though...even some on weekends, so I crash when he leaves & my house is a wreck.
Jenny I'm with you my house like like a wrecking ball hit it most days. They are gone for the weekend so I was planning what to do. There is too much on the agenda!
Oh man I can't imagine 5 am! You are a great grandma and all the memories will be all worth it!
I love them so much but Jenny I've decided if I'm still alive when the great grandkids come...I'm not doing it!
of course you know I will if there is a need and I'm able.
Yep, a nap!
Ours know they better put toys away or else the puppy will chew them. They have a littermate to this one at home so they are very careful!
Aww they have one of those at home! Cute but destructive! They bring their toys here for safe keeping..ha ha.
I know! Oh I hope no one asks me to do this with great grandkids. My husband's grandmother watched her great-grandkids a lot. We were just talking about her yesterday & how once when we went to visit she slept on the floor with our 5 yr old son....her great granchild! I couldn't even sleep on the floor with my grandkid....I can barely sleep with him in a bed. Our kids just don't realize how hard this is on our bodies.
Jenny she must have been really agile..or she couldn't get back up.
I think it's neat she babysit though sounds like she was a great lady.
