Weird things are delivered to our door now. I have ordered everything under the sun it seems this past month like cat litter, cat food, toys, paper plate holders, baking supplies, etc. It comes to our door, we put on gloves, and then haul it to the garage to air out for a day or so. Are we weird?
Last night though was kind of scary. As we were watching T.V. the UPS man came with a package. Which was no biggie but he opened up the screen door then put the package inside, knocked, and then yelled. Crap, that definitely took our joy away from watching Gunsmoke. I mean why would you do that?

He put it inside your house? Our UPS guy always rings the doorbell and leaves the package on the doorstep but it does startle us when he comes late. Hubby takes packages to the garage too and also the mail each day. This week's weird delivery was a jar of marshmallow creme. :)
That does sound scary. Why would he yell.
I have had odd deliveries too. Chewy orders with cat litter and cat food. I'm sure FedEx didn't like carrying 40 pounds of litter and 20 pounds of cat food
But the strangest thing my husband has ordered has been a bidet seat. He was afraid we would run out of toilet paper. Should be interesting. : D
Ok I never thought of the mail over night..I usually do a few hours...going to do that today!
There is a little porch there before the steel door but still was crazy!
We have all talked about a bidet seat, Kathy! It's something to consider for sure.
I haven't been doing this with our packages...I mean if you do, don't you have to do it with groceries? & mail?
I've been meeting my mailman or delivery man & taking things from them outside.
Wow, that must have been scary. A knock on the door makes me jump nowadays. haha!
I don't know Jenny, We just heard that it stays on cardboard so we started doing that. My daughter waits a little while before she opens hers but not as long as we do.
I've heard about people sanitizing their groceries and we don't do that.
There are no guidelines I guess just how you feel about things.
It woke us up Melissa that's for sure!
Our delivery persons leave the packages on our porch and ring our doorbell as they walk away. By the time I get to the door they’ve reached their truck and I can shout a thank you to them. Thank you for all the free Kindle book links you share!
That's the way it's been working..I think maybe he was a newbie.
That's all I can figure.
He was probably was a new guy and didn't want it to be stolen. Our UPS guy leaves it at the end of our sidewalk as we wave at him from the porch. I tell him to do this to save his feet. I need the exercise and he needs the rest. We put the packages on the edge of the porch in the sunshine before we bring it in to open. We leave our groceries (except for the cold things) in the trunk of the car in the garage for a few days.
Life is so different now.
