So we could go fishing this morning we went yesterday to go get our license down to our local hardware store.  We also needed worms but we didn't want to go to the overcrowded fishing store by the lake, so he decided to just go ahead and get a dozen night crawlers there. Now, they sit in our refrigerator waiting for their fateful demise at the end of our fishing pole.  Hopefully in the mouth of a fish!

I'm really still not over the thought of them being there. I've never had worms in my refrigerator before.  Uggh. Granddaughter thought that was a fantastic spot last night and she wanted just one to play with, in the house!

Maybe if we have any leftover I'll try worm farming again.  Who knows, it might work this time.

Fishing is a great social distancing sport and we can't wait to go!  Well he can...he is still asleep.  Time to make some noise!

Haven't been fishing in ages but used to really enjoy it. One brother in particular is a real fisherman, enters contests and all that sort of thing. He had ordered a new bass boat and sold his old one last year - problem is, boat is coming from Arkansas and only certain things are allowed across the border at the moment so he is still waiting.

The mayors of Toronto and surrounding areas are voting today on mandatory mask wearing at all indoor facilities & stores - it will go into effect in a week - mandatory wearing on public transit starts on Thursday. We've been expecting it and most people just wear one most of the time anyway as so many shops/hair dressers/restaurant pickup etc. require it already. They won't make it mandatory outdoors if you can maintain social distancing but really - it's just easier to wear it.I have a good supply on hand so not a problem.

I got out early this morning to get groceries before he heat really hit - walked home using my bundle buggy so exercise box is ticked and I am going to stay inside for the rest of the day as we will probably hit close to 100F today and that just saps my energy.
Enjoy the fishing.

It's been a long time since we've been fishing. I used to enjoy it a lot back in the day. I hope you catch some big ones when you do go.

I'll trade you the mouse in my pantry for the worms in your fridge! All the bags of sugar were chewed open. Grrrr......

Oh man so sorry that happened Lana! I hate those things.

Oh no, I never thought about that, Margie! Your poor brother is without a boat. We live about an hour and half away from the Canadian border and it always saddens me to see the signs warning that we cannot go into Canada unless it's essential. We miss you guys.

I'm glad they are making it mandatory for a mask and I hope that will help slow this thing down. The thing about outside is that you have to be vigilant if you don't wear a mask. Seems like people come right up on you real fast even in the woods. So I'm the lookout I guess when I go.

Listen we got out there fishing and like to died -we went early too but it's just so hot. If it's going to stay like this will have to do evening fishing when the sun goes down. We didn't catch a thing or even get a bite. I think the fish are too hot too!

You know it's like a date with us Belinda. Just so nice to get out there just the two of us to fish. My mother used to go with my Dad too and read a book, just so she could be with him. She never did like to fish ha ha.

We got nothing but it was fun.

Too funny about the worms in your refrigerator.
I haven't been fishing since the kids were little and my Dad was still alive, so it has been almost 15 years. Don't think I caught anything then either. We just dug our worms out of the backyard compost heap so maybe that was why we didn't catch any fish. :)

Heat index of 105 degrees here in the Lowcountry of SC. Too hot for me. :-) I'm staying inside.

My Dad used to put his worms in the frig and Mom would have a fit! LOL
Have fun

I don't blame you at all Melissa!

I bet those were some happy memories Kathy. We don't catch much either and we bought the worms! It gets real exciting when we do catch something.

I understand completely! It's just a little weird having worms in your fridg.

I haven"t fished since 1987, and then only to keep a mother's eye on the toddler son. When I was little we fished every day, and I was happy when I didn't have to anymore. I do like sitting in a boat on the water, however.
Anyhow, we are still just keeping a low profile. A lot of medical appointments coming up, though, and I hate going to the Pathogen Palace.

Hilarious!...the worms in your fridge.

I think I shared with you the blog Ms Sam Wears Dresses. She has a whole freezer for dead animals that they don't eat...think roadkill. She teaches homeschool biology & she has taught herself taxidermy. She loves it when her boys bring her a new dead animal...especially snakes. So a few worms in her fridge would be no big deal at all. If you've looked at her blog you'd never realize just how much she loves nature....every part of it.

I hope you have a lot of fun on your fishing trip.

Ms Sam Wears Dresses sounds so interesting. I think I'll go visit. Have a wonderful night Jenny!

Aww I do love to fish..I think I love to catch them and the solitude. Of course lately there has been a lot of solitude at times but none the less it's still nice. I would hate going to the Pathogen Palace too. Hope and pray that everything is well.
