I think the clematis is my favorite flower. It's so pretty, it doesn't look real to me. I do have to admit that my favorite flower is the one that's blooming at the moment. Clematis though ranks near the top of the list.
I've been raking my neighbors yards so I can use the grass clippings as mulch in the vegetable garden. This works so well and in the end, it's worth the effort to not have to weed all the time. Saves me $7.00 a bale of hay and I get a good workout.
What I'm working on:
I started cleaning out the garage this past week. This is my present for my husband for Father's Day. I work on it 30 minutes a day or so in the mornings. I think I'm making a dent. Really, I had no idea what I was getting into when I dreamed this up. Thank goodness I still have a few weeks. He better love it!

I think the same thing about Clematis- a neighbor has a purple one in a pot by her garage and I think the same thing every spring when it blooms- is that real?
Thanks for the book links, I got the 2 budget cooking ones
Oh, that is such a creative gift for your dh on Father's Day. I like that. Your clematis is so beautiful. I love the color. Good idea to use your neighbor's grass clippings to keep the weeds down in your own garden that is a smart way to save money. :)
Goodness I am so impressed! Cleaning out the garage alone seems like a way overwhelming job to me. Ours is a basement garage with terrible lighting. I'm terrified of finding a snake & I know we have brow recluse spiders there. Whether you finish or not I think you should get lots of points for trying!
I'm with you....whatever is blooming at the moment is my favorite but clematis is at the top of my list too. Yours is beautiful.
Your flowers are beautiful! We need all the beauty we can find these days.
I'm sure your husband will love his clean organized garage.
Thanks for the books. I love gifts of service. One year my youngest dear daughter hadn't a chance to go buy me anything for Mothers day so she cleaned and organized my pantry! What a lovely thought and a surprise as well! She didn't change my way of doing things just organized and updated everything. I dearly loved it and have kept it that way since. great idea for the grass clippings. Have a great day.
I got those too! I thought about the donut one but I don't need the temptation.
Thanks Jenny. He was helping me sort today...I think he has noticed how many trash bags and he is a little worried.
Oh that was so nice of your daughter! I would've loved that too!
Kathy it's a lot more work than I thought but I think even I'll be able to find any whatchamacallit tool I need too! Haha
I really got into using grass clippings for mulch last year and loved how easy it made the summer. They just need to get mowing so I can do the whole garden.
I hate basements ..I don't blame you a bit. There was evidence of a mouse though ..it was long gone though.
I love clematis flowers. Beautiful. Right now, my red impatiens are growing bigger every day. Our neighbor loves to feed her flowers and our flowers with plant food. I appreciate her efforts. :-) Have a blessed week!
Aww such a nice neighbor! I bet they are Beautiful too! Have a blessed week too!
