Butterflies at the Nature Preserve

Worries about what the what if's or the what's going to happen,  go through my mind sometimes.  So it's good to get out away from the t.v. and computer for awhile.  Last night, after another sprinkle or two of rain, we went for a walk at the local nature preserve.   It was very quiet and peaceful walk that calmed my soul for a little while.

We got lucky and there were still a few butterflies left in the butterfly display tent.  They were small but still so pretty and a joy to find.  The fun was in the hunt.

My Mother used to say, "worrying ain't going to help one bit."  She was a tough woman and had went through a lot in her life.  She was right though.  I'm just got to try to leave it in God's hands.  I have to keep reminding myself of this over and over.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Momma was right. Worry solves nothing - except making you feel worse. God has this and we all need to learn to just put it in His hands.
Do what we can on our end and have faith!

I'm glad you enjoyed your walk through the nature center. How fun to see the butterflies.
I'm guilty of worrying too...I try to give it to Him, but then I snatch it right back. :(

Early on we asked God for scripture to cling to for the pandemic and He answered. It has been a real comfort to us and has actually been real guidance for us which has helped us to not be afraid and to put ourselves in His care and just stay there. To some it has seemed that we are not being careful but we continue to trust in that scripture and His care.

I have to keep reminding myself over and over too!

I know you are being as careful as you can be Lana. Some people are just so scared. Keep clinging to that scripture!

I just try to focus on the moment I'm in. When I feel overwhelmed I take a deep breath & remind myself that I only have to deal with this very moment...not tomorrow or even later today...just where I am right now. It seems to help me.

I went into the grocery store this morning...my first trip in a month. I've been doing weekly pick ups but husband likes beef 7 I wanted to get more. I hit the jackpot finding quite a bit of meat marked down in after the 4th sales (ribs, rib tips, ground chuck, burgers) & I bought steak regular price. I picked up all of my fresh produce too.

Then I headed to the supercenter for my online order (I do both, only actually shopping for fresh foods & filling an order for everything else to keep me out of the store more) When I got home there were 2 more pounds of ground beef that I did not order! So, some free beef!

It's raining...pouring here & has been all morning. Glorious. I won't have to water for at least three days. I did not expect it at all because I never, ever turn on the news anymore. ...Another reason I'm somewhat sane.

I'm going to my first party in 5 months this Saturday....a drive through birthday party for a lady in my church who will be 88. We won't interact at all. We decorating our cars with signs, driving by her house & pulling up to the curb to give a gift to the person hosting & waving, smiling, calling to her as she watched. I'm so excited about it. I'll see people I really have not seen in 6 months...people I used to see at least once a week.

Sorry so long. I do enjoy sharing in your comments so much.

I'm glad you were able to get great deals! Free beef bust can't be beat!
That party just sounds so fun Jenny! I know you will have a great day and the birthday lady will too!
Yeah for the rain too!!! That is glorious.

Where did the butterflies go? Did they leave or die off?

I had to actually just look up how long a butterfly lives and it's about a month.
I should have took a picture of the butterfly house. It's really kind of neat and the inside is filled with pretty plants. I'll try and do that soon.
