What's going on here

I'm back to paper plates again.  Dishes are stacking up like you wouldn't believe and using paper plates relieves the dish washer and the person who puts them in.

Picking beans today, the white half runners.  They  did not do as well (I think it was the heat).  We will take what we get and not worry because  I have some left from last years canning.  Grandchildren will be helping us.

Pizza is on the menu.  It's already frozen and ready to go.

Seems like a lot of work going on around here.  I'm thinking  me and the husband need a date.  Thinking hard of what to do!  When I work too much around the house I just want to escape and not come back for a few hours!

What's going on in your neck of the woods?

We picked a seventh meal of green beans from our two two foot square grow boxes on our deck this morning. Hard to believe that those little boxes have produced so much this year! We had breakfast out with friends and then stopped for a half bushel of peaches. The canner is calling but they need to sit and ripen for a few days. Hope you can think of a fun date!

That's amazing you got so many beans Lana! Peaches sound so good too! Have a wonderful day!

Our "fun" date is going after the motorcycle Hubby bought from Son 2. Three hours of round trip driving as we will drop off green and red tomatoes to the kids since we are that close to them. I don't want to look at the gardens... I got 1 1/2 bushels of regular tomatoes on the porch, fennel bulbs, peaches and a watermelon to deal with while sharing what canning lids I have with my Amish neighbor

I do hope you are able to find some time alone with your husband. I really like being home alone with mine but when the work piles up....you just want to leave it all. Even getting take out creates a little work at home.

We're chugging along here....ready for fall.

Oh we used to have a motorcycle and it was so much fun. So many accidents around here that we decided to give it up.
You are so nice to give canning lids to your Amish friends.
They are thankful I know!

You are so right it can't be all play..wish it could.
Can't wait till everything gets better and we can just go out without thinking about it and leave the mess with them!
Have a great day Jenny.

We've unpacked all of our moving boxes. Now, trying to hang pictures and check off the "to do" list. Weather has been very hot this week. :-)

Your new place sounds wonderful. That to do list can be long sometimes!
