We found his Mom a gift at Sam's yesterday.  I'll try my best to go out and mail it this morning. It was easy to find and that's a relieve!

Now, let me tell you about Sam's.  My daughter gave me a membership through hers and we had so much fun spending money.  For that reason we will rarely go there it's very dangerous!

What was so fun about it?  Shelves were fully stocked.  You could look behind something and find multiples.  So, if you bought mayonnaise there were many jars behind it. Somehow that makes me feel good. They also had a variety of goods that I have found lacking in other stores too. Somehow this made us very happy.  I guess it was just like old times before the virus.

I was actually happy shopping with a mask on.  Really, all this time I thought it was because I was wearing a mask that shopping made me depressed but I realize now it was probably the stress of worrying about finding what I need and wanted.

This is not a promotion for Sam's just my happy experience.

P.S.  Husband thinks it's because more people with money shop there and they keep it fully stocked.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?  Found any good deals lately?

Oh I'm glad to hear that Sam's was well stocked. Glad you had a good shopping trip. I used to like Costco when we lived in northern va. Now the closest Sam's is an hour away, so we don't have a membership.
Have a great weekend.

I wish we had a Costco too. We hear about great deals but like your Sams it's an hour away. I'm glad we have a Sam's close by.
Have a great weekend too.

Glad to hear that the birthday gift was easy! Those kids of gifts seem to either be easy or a whole day of looking for us. Sam's has been well stocked lately and they have lifted the limits, too. Early on they had a lot of items out of stock and once they were restocked there was no extra stock on the upper racks which was concerning. Now things seems to be very much back to normal except of course that item you really need.

Thank you for the video of the little boy riding in bike on a neighbor’s driveway! It was precious and I love hoe the neighbor encouraged it. Hugs,

The grocery stores seem to be ok here - and a lot better than they were. Now it's the clothing stores that haven't received overseas shipments. Normally p here they start pushing the Winter clothes on July 1st when it's about 90F outside! This year they are still trying to sell off their Summer stock and any Winter stock is last year's leftovers. Even things like undies & socks are more difficult to find if you want a specific size or colour - you don't want to be too fussy at the moment.

Wasn't that a sweet video Sandi..it was a great spirit lifter.

That's probably true about the item you need being gone. The only thing I saw a limit on was tp.
I guess I needed normal!
We found her gift at Sam's too. So that was nice.

I bet we need to be well stocked on a lot of things. Seems like the prices on a lot of things like toasters, mixers, etc.if you can find it are about double.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your trip to Sam's and were able to find a present for your MIL. I haven't yet been back to Sam's since this whole thing started. The couple of items I've wanted from there, I've been able to have someone pick up for me. It's the best place for me to get a decent price on walnuts and almonds. Way cheaper than any place else. I also like to get OTC medicine there. Costco is great, but we don't have one. I see you put up Kathleen Maher's book. She's an excellent author. Again, I already had the book, but I did put it up on my Facebook page. I was so surprised to discover that she put it up for free. Our weather is lovely today. Not chilly yet. It still looks like summer. We've had so much rain. Have a nice rest of the week-end.

Oh, that is good news to hear about the shelves being fully stocked at Sam's Club. For some reason that makes me feel better too. :)

My son & dil have a Sam's membership too. She uses it a lot for her business but she always asks if I need anything. I usually keep their canned meats & nuts for snacking & baking. Nuts are so expensive but they are really the only snack food we buy...no chips (except pork rinds occasionally) or other snack foods. I feel overwhelmed when I go in there. You can hit $100 so quickly!

I made two pints of roasted tomato spread today. One for the freezer & one for the fridge. I dried basil & stevia. I think I burnt the basil...I'm not sure if it's edible or not. And I'm drying cherry tomatoes as well...all in the dehydrator.

I'm planning to try fermenting. I've never done any fermenting but I saw this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clCecs-N1zQ

I thought I'd try it with some cherry tomatoes once things cool down....just to see if we like it.

I should have looked at the otc medicine! Oh my well we will have to go back sooner than I thought. My sinus medicine is getting low.
I wish I had more time to read but I downloaded anyway for someday in the future!

Ok I'll tell we spent $192 with two jackets 2 tops and an outfit for grandson, granddaughter, and mil. The rest was groceries ..about $100! About gave us a heart attack!
Sounds like you've been busy. Your tomato spread sounds delicious Jenny.
