We headed up north this morning with the grandkids and the adults to see the fall colors.  Last week we got rained out but the weatherman have promised that it will be a beautiful day.

Sights that we can't wait to see again are the Lumberman's monument and the steps near the Ausable River.  For the life of me I can't remember the name of the steps but it's beautiful. We always like to go to the Ben Franklin in East Tawas too.  Such a unique store to go to and the kids always love it.

I better get dressed!

Hope you had a wonderful trip and enjoyed the Fall colours.
This is Canadian Thanksgiving - but - like most of this year, it has been affected by Covid-19. Our numbers in the province and especially in this large city have been rising again so the premier and the mayor announced a roll-back on openings that went into effect at midnight and will last for the next 28 days.
All entertainment venues (including galleries & museums), gyms, indoor dining (including Food Courts) and person services that require you to remove a mask are banned. Schools & places of worship can stay open with protocols & restrictions in place (although my church decided to close again a couple of weeks ago - online only) and we are being asked to stay home except for work, groceries and medical appointments. There are increased financial supports for those businesses that will have to close again and if we get the numbers back down they will be reopen before Christmas.

I had a friend come over for lunch. We walked in the woods & enjoyed the fall colors...sweltering heat & high humidity with a high of 87'. And it's so dry the leaves are just curling up & falling off instead of turning...I so wish it would rain.

Lunch was really good though.

Have a good day! It is dark and chilly and rainy today because we are getting the remnants of Hurricane Delta. Neighbors up the street had a wedding in their yard under an huge tent today. I felt so bad for them with the awful weather.

Oh man so sad to hear this. I understand the restrictions again. We all need to just do what makes us safe but I bet it's hard. I'm glad the businesses are getting help with closing. That's definitely a hardship for them and for us.

I'm so glad your church is going online. They want to keep the people safe and I admire them for that.

You stay safe too Margie.

Oh man the heat is still on... I bet that's crazy seeing fall colors when it's so hot.
I love how you think about the positive things. That's what we got to do!

It was very beautiful there and the granddaughter just want to leave home and stay up there. She changed her mind when it was time to go eat.

I've heard about the flooding in that part of the country with the aftermath of the hurricane. I'm glad you are safe.

I'm always afraid of the weather for outdoor weddings. It's a great solution though with space of course in the pandemic. I bet they are just glad to be married.

I hope you all had a good trip, Vickie. It's raining here, so I'm staying indoors where it's warm today. :)

Thanks Belinda. We really got lucky with the weather this weekend Belinda. Rain is in the forecast tonight and we might see snowflakes soon.
