Our first real good snow came yesterday morning.  It was beautiful and quiet.  It's always so peaceful to watch the flakes fall down and the noise seems to stop.  Just a beautiful day.

That snow (maybe an inch and half) is still here this morning, but I expect it will melt with the rising temperatures they predict this week.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?  Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving.  I pulled my turkey out of the freezer to thaw yesterday.

  1. Our turkey went to the fridge yesterday, too. I told Hubby that I hope we at least get one good snow this winter and said to be careful what I wish for!

    1. That first snow is so pretty and I love it. So exciting! I do get tired of it. Then I hear myself wanting more snow to get rid of the ugly dirty snow. It's a cycle I myself don't understand. I do hope you get one good snow.

  3. It's cold here but no snow. We still have some color on a very few trees.

My husband's company VP was diagnosed with covid this weekend. That makes 8 people that I know personally who have or had it plus one person who died from it earlier this year. Thankfully most people I know who've had it did recover but I still don't want to encounter it at all.

My husband is off work until next Monday so that's great news.

    1. Jenny so sorry to hear if so many sick people. It's takes so long to get over it...I hope I never encounter it either. It's nothing to cool with that's for sure.

I'm glad you both are getting a little break till Monday.

  4. We have some snow on the ground and temps in the 20s here in Northern Wisconsin. I'm not crazy about winter (but yes I live here!), and we've been lucky so far, sometimes we get snow in early November that's here until May so I am thankful. Vickie, I'm also thankful for you and those here with you. You all calm me a bit in this crazy world!

    1. Oh man..never ending white Nancy. At least it brightens every thing up. The neighbor children played in my yard and tried to make a snow man. Now i have balls of snow everywhere makes me laugh every time I look out the window.
I'm beginning to wonder about this crazy world.
