The beautiful granddaughter came to spend the night Saturday.  We began to realize as she was playing that she needed pillows for her barbies and the other  small dolls she has.  So, I got out my stash of leftover fabric from making masks and we got busy.

She picked out the patterns she liked and then I sewed them up real quick.  Leaving a small hole for the stuffing.

She has watched some youtube videos of things to make for Barbie dolls and it looks like the next time she stays, we will be making Barbie furniture.

We had so much fun crafting together!

FYI:   The Michigan Dept of Health stepped in with some guidelines and closures for our state on Sunday.  This actually made me feel so much better!

Aww she is beautiful! What sweet pillows for her dolls. And how fun to make some furniture.
I loved playing with Barbies, but my daughter wasn't into dolls much. Maybe I will have a grand daughter someday that I can play Barbies with. :)
So glad there are some restrictions. Hopefully the cases will start going down again.

It seemed like my daughters didn't play long with barbies either. Time goes by so fast. I hope you do get a grandaughter, they are a lot of fun!

How fun! My sister and I used to spend hours making Barbie furniture and it was so much fun, too.

What fun it is to help kids to make things! I used to really enjoy doing that with my own girls and then with my eldest granddaughter. I haven't been getting your blog by email for quite a while and it hasn't been in my spam folder, so I'm not sure what happened. I unsubscribed and re-subscribed, so I hope that works.

I remember playing a lot with my barbies. I wonder if we made furniture..I'll have to ask my sister.
I love the videos to show me how to do it.

I'm so sorry to hear about the email mix up. I hope everything is fine now.
It was a lot of fun..we will have to do that again soon.

So nice! Last time I looked at the Barbie I had which is packed away, I forgot my mom had made some dresses for her-with snaps and bric-a-brac trim (mom was not a sewer but so sweet she did that for me).
Glad you have some restrictions-we stay mostly at home but will plan to go out tomorrow for Thanksgiving items-hopefully we'll get in, shop fast and get out. We do have 3 turkey breasts in freezer, but wanted to get a whole one (or two) for .39 cents. Maybe soon we'll have to go back to order and pick up in parking lot. It's gonna be a long winter!

I guess it's crafting with grandkids. My grandson & I did a water color get well card to send to his great uncle who is sick with covid.

We're staying home too.

We got two and put them in the freezer too! Cheap meat is always good.
I'm encouraged with the announcements of two vaccines!
I hope they get it all going very soon and people take precautions till then to stay alive.
I love that your mom sewed for you..speaks volumes of her love for her daughter.
