Maybe I'm not doing this right but wrapping presents makes my back hurt.  I've wrapped them using the table and the bed still having problems.  Probably need to go to bags.  Husband has the daughter wrap my presents.  Cheater.

Another thing: I always feel like I want to give more but I know I've done enough. Do you guys feel that way?  I made a list of each kid and adult so that helps me but the feeling is still there.

My Goals for this weekend:
  • Finish wrapping presents- almost there.
  • Mopping and vacuuming floor.
  • Dusting.
  • Baking cookies.  I'm going to leave this one till Sunday so the kids can join in.

The big thing I accomplished this week was toy elimination.  Oh man, the struggle was real, but they are out of here.  When I donated she did see the bags go by though and wanted them all back.  I tried my best to keep it secret but it didn't work.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Hope your back feels better!
We are making cookies this weekend too.
I was thinking my girl didn't have enough presents compared to my son, so I ordered her a few more small things. Next day her computer monitor went out, so she is getting a new one. Whee.
I am done now except for a GC for my brother, and I'm going to wrap a roll of toilet paper as a gag gift for my nephew. I think I will hide some money in it too :)
Have a great weekend.

Maybe the table is the wrong height? Do you a bar or kitchen counter that's taller than a table you could use? I know the pain of back struggles...it is terrible.

I wrapped my own presents this year! It was kind of a mix up but for the most part I do enjoy wrapping gifts. I didn't have a ton to wrap or my back would have been hurting too.

Making gingerbread men with my grandson today. I have a friend who made the dough for me in exchange for some candy. Her kids were decorating gingerbread houses & I wanted to make gingerbread men. I had the candy, she was willing to share some dough! I love when that works out.

Yes, I hope your back is feeling better today, Vickie. My Mom always had my sister and me wrap each other's present so she wouldn't have to do it. LOL I'm sorry she saw the toys getting donated. I always tried to do that when mine was in school, but this year made that nearly impossible. sigh

I'm glad your hearing the end!
Just to let you know I'm stealing the toilet paper idea. I gotta use it on someone! Perfect gift!

I'll try the counter and see if that works. Good idea!

Your mom was a smart woman!
I got the toys sorted before she came but she saw the bags. They love all their toys forever I think. After explaining what toys they were she was ok with it..for the most part LOL. I've took broken toys to the curb and she has dragged them back before the trash came. It's hard to get past her!

I'm so sorry about your back pain. I know how bad that can be. I hope you are feeling better. Right now I've been sitting on the floor and wrapping some very large, awkward boxes. Otherwise, I either stand at the long counter and wrap or I sit at a folding table in front of the TV. Those positions keep my back from hurting. Yes, it hard not to keep buying one more thing...and then one more thing. I have pretty much avoided doing that this year. I kept a running list on my computer called "Christmas Gifts". I listed each person, what I bought and the price. I think that helped. Blessings...

I love that idea of keeping a running list on the computer. That way you know that you have enough for everyone. Great idea!
