We went out curbside shopping and didn't find a thing last night.  There was nothing...I mean nothing.  We didn't even see much trash put to the curb.  Nice ride but we saw zilch. We've started calling these nights a dry run.

We think it's because of Martin Luther King Day.  See, so many of us are unsure if the the garbage men/women have the day off or not.  If they do the garbage would have been a day off schedule.   Each year it's a discussion  at our house and we decide to put it out anyway.

To answer the question nope our garbage men do not have MLK day off in our area.  They should.

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Sorry you had a dry run without any treasures. Hopefully next week will be better. I'm always unsure about holiday trash pickup times too. Our pickup is usually thursday afternoons, so I need to take the trash out this morning.

What a bummer.

My son starts days Sunday then on Tuesday he has an interview for another job (in the same company). Crazy. Last August was when he was awarded the job he's going to this weekend....covid has slowed things way down. He applied for another job higher up last fall & that's what he's interviewing for. That job is expected to start in June but who knows?

I guess I do want him to get the higher up job but if he does I'll have my grandson from 6AM to 3PM four days a week plus 6 to noon on Friday. It makes me so tired just thinking about it.

Oh shoot! a treasure hunt without a treasure! Maybe next week...I've been watching some YouTube videos put up by dumpster divers. Some I can't watch because the people swear too much, but there are a couple I enjoy. One is StephandSteve. They donate a lot of their finds and Steph get so excited when they find good stuff.

I think they should send us a schedule but I bet it's on a website somewhere. Just like everyone else probably just don't want to look.

oh the dread of thinking ahead. I find myself doing that too especially when I'm tired and I know you are. I pray for your son, Jenny, to get a good higher up job though but I know it's hard.

Yes I think I've watched them. She finds gift cards with amounts still on them! They seem nice and well mannered ..I should watch them more often.
