I found a pattern to make this pillow in my last issue of Country Woman magazine.  I finished one and I'm now making another.  I love easy fast projects like this. I bought the pillow forms from Joanne's online when they offered free shipping. My granddaughter had a great time picking out just the right buttons from my button jar.

I made a quick batch of energy balls from Rhonda's recipe this week for a snack.

Daughter gave me a desk calendar that she had extra.  She didn't know it but I desperately needed one.

With a worker here to do drywall in our living room, I've used two of my freezer meals.  We did go out to eat one day.  He is tearing down old paneling and wallpapering, then drywalling that section of the dining room before we carpet.  Since it looks like we will stay here for the rest of our lives, I've told husband the wallpaper needs to go.  I can't imagine at 80 redoing the wallpaper (hope I live that long).

The carpet has been here far longer than any carpet should be (around 20 years I'm thinking), so this is a much needed project.  It's actually threadbare in  many spots.  Can you make out a heart?  So, we've delayed the project long enough and it had to be replaced. No if, buts, or bones about it. Sigh, I hate remodeling.  I just want to snap my fingers  and it will be done.

I held off on shopping for a mixing bowl this week.  In the end I knew it was a want and not a need but if I find it at a garage sale it's mine!  LOL

Good morning
I haven’t made those energy balls in awhile but they are good. I need to make some soon.
Home re-dos are so hard for me. But we plan to stay in our home to so we still need to do a few more things like new carpet in our bedroom and making our bathroom ADA.
I’ll warn you that getting new carpet is nice but hard as you have to EveryThing off of the floor and even stuff that is low as the carpet might bump it when it’s being installed, even frames on the wall.
But it’s very nice when it’s done

Oh wow, we have a couple of spots like that in our carpet, but remodeling is such a chore. It's good that you are getting yours done and I hope we can see photos of what it looks life afterwards.

That pillow is beautiful! I like the buttons your dear granddaughter picked out.

Oh man i feel like there is a never ending list for us and I know how you feel. We would have a problem with our bathroom as well..there is a weird step before you get there. Something to think about.
We are also painting as well It's been quite awhile for that too so everything will be down and the couch will be out the same way it came in..through the window..haha. What a mess Rhonda!

We waited till the youngest grand daughter turned 5 to do something about it. If course then covid came and well the bathtub. Cracked and that was the end of it last year. We try to improve something in the house once a year.
You know the though how you get thoughts about doing something more but I'm already tired of it so one thing is enough for quite awhile!

Love the pillow! We made the decision to stay here this week by contracting to have a lift put in our stairs. Over the last six years we have done 7 rooms of flooring, two heat pumps, ductwork and insulation, a new roof, wall paper stripped and walls painted and last week a new stove. Real estate is so high in our area that it is cost prohibitive to move without selling our house first and moving twice. So, since we do love our neighborhood and our house with it's 2 1/2 acres we will stay. It was the stairs that were the real issue so that is solved.

Getting new carpet is like moving! Our master has hardwoods so we piled everything from 3 bedrooms and the bonus room in our room and could barely get to the bed!

I keep a list of things I'd like to have...like your mixing bowl. It's so fun to find them super cheap.

I also have a framed embroidery very similar to this pattern with a garden quote on it. I've thought about copying the flowers. It's so pretty & looks so easy.

Oh no Lana, I don't want to do this for awhile so everything else can go to pot! LOL

Those lifts are the best invention! Glad you found the solution so you can stay there. Sounds like a lovely place!

You know that's what drew me to the project when I seen it in the magazine. Easy is fun every once in awhile.
I can't wait for garage sales!

I love the pillow embroidery and it is so cool that your granddaughter got to participate. My carpet needs replaced also. I'd planned to do that in 2020 along with replacing the cabinets and sink in my laundry room, but as you mentioned--along came COVID-19 and I put it off. I'm hoping for this year.

I guess the good thing is no one will see what is needing repair with a pandemic going on. I hope you get yours done too!
