Here are my favorite pictures this week!

Peekaboo Chicken posing for a picture #notmychicken.

Crocuses poking up between the leaves. They make me so happy, I need to plant some more.  They are so pretty when they open up during the day.

We went to Sam's last night and I saw some huge blueberry muffins.   I wanted them so bad but really they were huge so I decided against them.  Oh, I how I wish I had them this morning, then I remembered the blueberry muffin mix in the pantry (lazy women's way of baking).  Saves money and calories!

My sweet potato has roots!  Yeah!

How's it going in your neck of the woods?

Good idea to use your own mix to make the blueberry muffins, yum! We are doing well here and hope you are too.

Love the pictures! The chicken cracks me up, and I love your bench. Love the crocus picture too. I need to plant some crocus and maybe some snowdrops for an early spring color. My daffodils are starting to come up, so maybe I will have some blooms next month. I am so ready for spring!

We have two sides of our house painted! We're painting between storm fronts so it will take us awhile, which is probably good because our old bodies need the breaks.

My daffodils & hellebore are blooming. Last spring I had to dig up a bucketful of daffodil bulbs from a few flower beds where they were taking over. I planted some & ran out of energy (old bodies)so I took the bucket & my grandson for a walk along the top of the ravine behind our house & along our back drive. We randomly tossed bulbs all along our way just at the top in the thickets. ...They are blooming now! I'm shocked at how many are blooming. I figured only some would survive & then it would take at least another year for blooms but there are spots of yellow all along our path. I have a great view of it from my kitchen window. It was so easy & I have more to divide so I'm going to do it again this spring.

I remember being so surprised how the daffodils spread in Kentucky. So beautiful but it seems as though we are not so lucky here. So you didn't plant them you just threw them?
Rest easy!

All last week while we were at the lake I wanted blueberry muffins. Now that I am home it is time to use some of the berries in the freezer before it is summer again and I still have way too many. But, those huge muffins always look so good and don't taste near as good as they look once I get them home. Spring bulbs make me happy too. On our way home today we noticed some fields with lots of daffodils where there must have been old homesteads and the bulbs are all that is left.

So glad I didn't get those muffins then! Yep I have one bag of berries in the freezer too...to lazy to go get them in the garage.
I bet those daffodils were so pretty.

Yes I just threw them into the leaves at the top of the ravine. I've done the same thing with iris over the years with great results.
