We decided at the last minute to go curbside shopping.  We always figure that if we don't find anything at least we had a ride.  Last night though we found something!  It was too cold and late at night so we left our finds in the truck.

So, my neighbor who is a  landscape worker told me the reason why my brick border sinks around my flower bed in the front is because I need more bricks.  He said, "you need to put a layer of bricks for the foundation then more on top to make it pretty," (I thought it was because the house was on quicksand and we would eventually sink).

You know, it's kind of funny but I haven't seen that neighbor since!

So, imagine go down the road and seeing bricks laid out to the trash.  Yep, I screamed, I want those bricks!  These are double the size needed but I thought I could take the bricks from the outdoor fire pit and put them in the front.  Then I would use these for the outdoor fire pit.  I'm exhausted already but I'll get it done!

It's weird sometimes how things are found that you need or want.  I believe God is watching out for the little things in our life.

I could have had even more bricks in the truck but the  hose reel cart the husband found got in the way.  He is going to use it f
or a garden cart.  Good exciting finds!

What's going on in your neck of the woods?

Nice finds! Love how you found what you needed!
I told dh that we needed to drive around after the college students leave and see if they have left any treasures curbside. He just gave me a look. ;)

Wow-you got great stuff and a workout too! Great going. We live in the country and go to the dump, but hubby has found some "treasures" put over to the side of the dumpsters. Recycling-it's a good thing!

Great finds! I wish people did that in my area, but it isn't really a common custom to put stuff out at the curb. I do believe God takes pleasure in giving us little surprises every day. Like today, in the mail I got a book through paperbackswap.com that I'd wanted ever since it came out in 2018. It is a blessing!

It sure is both ways too. We put some scrap out yesterday and we heard someone picking it up. Made us feel good!
