About the time I thought well it's not coming, it started snowing. Snowing in April is not really surprising in Michigan but it's kind of disappointing. We will get over it by the end of the week, they say it's going to be 70 degrees soon!
My to do list:
Monday Planted more seeds for the greenhouse
Tuesday Paint Bathroom ceiling above tub
Wednesday Start taking down old swing set (I can't believe we finally did this -grandson helped)
Thursday While the husband and youngest daughter are going to the dentist, I'm going to pick a book and read!
Friday Pick up and plant the cherry trees and strawberries I bought from the conservation district. I'm going to plant the cherry trees were the old swing set was and plant the strawberries in a tower.
Saturday Get done with the leftover work
Sunday Rest!
I noticed I got everything done last week but not on the days I said I would. Sometimes it all depends on the weather and the energy level.
Rising Food Prices plus Shortages
Husband went last night to Walmart and there wasn't any milk. Nothing. We will get it somewhere else today (I hope). It might be that it was a Monday and they bought all the milk out over the weekend. You know, I want to go back to where we never worried about that.
What really got him though was the fresh corn for .80 an ear. He talked to his family in KY and they are paying $5.00 for a dozen eggs. I'm not sure who won the the highest price prize. How is it in your area?
Menu Plan
Monday Ham Sandwiches
Tuesday Ham and Cheese Omelets and toast
Wednesday Ham and scalloped potatoes
Thursday Out to eat
Friday BLT'S and hash browns
Saturday Cheap steak and potatoes on the grill
Sunday Baked chicken, mashed potatoes, and peas
Breakfasts: Eggs, fried bologna, and waffles
According to how much energy and time I have this menu could change at any time (sometimes it's much to the delight of my husband). Looks good though doesn't it?

We are at our house at the lake and just 80 miles from home things are very different. Aldi has little stock but their eggs are 1.25 limit four. Milk is 3x what we pay at home. Shelves in Walmart are pretty well stocked whereas at home they are always pretty bare. Prices are always higher here so I can't really say if they have gone up since we left home. Walmart had lots of jars and lids. I found impatiens clearance at Walmart for $1 a four pack. I watered them and put them in the sun and they look great this morning. I was thinking we might not have any flowers on the deck this year. At least we have a few. What's with the 4 packs? Do they think we are fooled? Plant prices are sky high here.
Prices are sky high and different at every store. We found our milk at Aldi's this morning. It was more $ than last week. It was sparse at our Aldi's too.
Your right about plant prices..at our farm and home there were peppers for $4.78 for one. You know it was big and everything but man I just get the little ones and they can grow!
