Fun with Gardening Frugal Friday 5/27/22

We have been mixing fun with gardening this week.

We went to a huge car show by us Sunday Morning.   We had a great time looking at all the old cars and trucks.  So funny we always wish we could have saved many of our cars because they are now classics!

Entrance fee was free and we ate a free grilled hot dog given to us by the local furniture store.

Husband plowed the garden one more time then it was ready to plant. In between the rains here we have planted my cabbage plants and marigolds from the green house, greasy green beans (saved seeds), and some red and Yukon gold potatoes in the garden.  We have a lot more work to do.  I think the vegetable garden gets bigger every year.

I paid $14.97 for a flat of flowers and made three flower pots out of it. These are my own style of course you can pick what you want.  So around $5.00 for a pot.  So save your pots and fill them again next year!   I know there is only two...I was a bit too proud and dropped one.  It's looks sad but it's making progress in the recovery room.

Although I haven't found a lot of meat in the Flashfood app, we have bought milk through the Flashfood App. for a $1.79 a gallon, lunchmeat,  and Tide.   If you would like to try Flashfood my referral code is VICK36PZH.  If you first purchase is over $10 we both get $5.00 in rewards.

How did you save money last week?

Car show sounds fun. Huge garden!
Your flowers are pretty - I do the same when planting flowers. Baskets are so expensive.

Cheryl, I cannot believe the cost for hanging baskets...so much money!
The garden is out there waiting today...mosquitos and showers are keeping me away!
Have a good weekend!

I intend to save my baskets for next year. I still need to finish my coir baskets. I love the chair with flowers. I sold painted chairs with no seats, just wire at a festival. That year, chairs with flowers were everywhere in town.

Thanks Practical, My daughter bought me that chair for Mother's day one year at the Farmer's Market filled with flowers. He sold out. It just keeps lasting.
