Frugal Friday 6/10/22!

My Peonies are starting to bloom.  I almost didn't have any blooms when the husband decided this bush needed trimming too. I screamed out the window just in time before they were all gone.  He just smiled.  You can't stay mad too long with his smile.

When I gave neighbor a dozen eggs I asked if she had any egg cartons saved.  She gave me the four she had stocked up on top of her refrigerator.  Good trade.  If you buy new egg cartons they are .50 a piece.

Bought a bagful of clothes at Meijer's for 75% off clearance for the kids- Total spent $20 for 6 outfits.  Did I take a picture...no. Sigh.

I have been watching our electric use for the summer.   Summer electric rate is cheaper if you watch you usage between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.   So, we have been doing laundry and dinner before and after those times.  We've been lucky and the weather has been cooler so we have only used a fan when needed.

We've needed a blanket more than a fan this week.  Next week promises to be quite a bit warmer, so it will be a different story.

I signed up for the Summer Reading program and a soap making class at the local library.  I always wanted to learn how to make soap.

How did you save money last week?

Bailey and I both signed up for our summer reading program too. We’ve been reading like crazy too and I like that.

Belinda, I love taking a rest from the garden to read. It feels so good. I'm glad they have a summer reading program for the adults!
